It has been calculated that if everyone in the United States passed along idiotic e-mails and all at the same time they didn't buy any gas for one day, the oil companies would realize what complete idiots we are. I am removing myself from your market economy Mr. Forward the Stupid E-mail because staying with this system is making us all less intelligent. If we all didn't buy gas for one day, the oil companies would gouge the price the next day, claim there was a shortaqe, and the price would be $0.25 higher for the rest of your life. If we all didn't buy gas for one day? Those "Hands Across America" asshats couldn't even find enough happy hand-holding people to nake that work. Let's face it the first yuppy that just has to be somewhere who has less than a quarter tank will ruin it for the rest of us. If we all didn't buy gas for one day, the next day would be chaos. If we all didn't buy gas for one day, the automobile industry in conjunction with oil would proclaim it as a sign that there was no oil shortage and cars would instantly get less gas mileage. I've forwarded the e-mail via this blog to the five of you. Read it if you want, but I think that this thinking doesn't get us anywhere. It's not that we're stupid, it's just that they tell us the way the market works, and then play an entirely different game.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.
THEREFORE Sept 10TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT TO
THEM DAY" AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT DAY.
THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL
TO AS MANY PEOPLE A S YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.
WAITING ON THIS ADMINISTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?
REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!
WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.
