and now this...
London Gets Bombed and this is our reaction?

london style attack.jpg

I can not believe that in today's world, after the day that no one will let a day go by without mentioning, that our press runs bullshit like this. The entire world stopped on that day to mourn with us and send help and was caught genuinely feeling our pain. Now something happens in London and our number one concern is that it will happen here. WE NEED TO GET OVER OURSELVES. We just need to be a little less self fucking involved and show a great deal more compassion for the world and maybe some of the shit storm around the world will calm the fuck down.

jim, i was thinking the EXACT same thing all goddamned morning. They need to STOP talking about local reactions to the crisis in the UK. I SWEAR CNN spent about 30 seconds over there, and the rest talking about how major cities in the US were "coping." It makes me sick that we're all so egofuckingcentric (or, at least some are).

Very true. Poor Londoners.

My thoughts exactly. Any other country in the world would be crucified if we were attacked and they were to react as we're doing. If I had to listen to the folks on CNN go into the discussion about our threat level (as if it matters what color it is) one more time..

GAH! Wow, it is SO not about us. No wonder us Yankees have such a bad reputation in some people's eyes.

On the way in to work this morning I had to listen to a news story about how Houston's metro is on high alert and how the authorities there are working to ensure that nothing happens. The last thing the reporter said was, "There have been no reports of intended attacks in Houston." (or something to that effect)

So why waste my time with it? I couldn't believe it. I completely agree with you. We're so self-absorbed that it's ridiculous and disheartening.
